Bechtel wins FEED contract for first FLNG facility in U.S.

Bechtel has been selected by Delfin LNG, a wholly owned subsidiary of Fairwood Peninsula Energy Corporation, to perform front-end engineering and design (FEED) for the first U.S.-based FLNG vessel to go into service at Port Delfin.

Contractors chase FEED for Petronas’ K5 project

RNZ-Petrofac, Ranhill Worley, Technip and Aker Engin­eering are among the contractors competing for the FEED work for phase one of Petronas’ K5 gas field off Malaysia. Initial facilities for the field will include a MOPU fitted with a cryogenic distillation unit, weighing an estimated 7,000 tonnes, and an FSO with a storage capacity of 30,000 barrels. The FEED work is expected to take about six months to comlete.

KBR awarded FLNG FEED job by Lloyds Energy

KBR has been awarded a near-shore FLNG FEED contract by Lloyds Energy, under which KBR will provide integrated topsides and hull engineering design services for a nominal 2.5 MTPA FLNG. Start-up of the project facilities is expected to take place in 2019.

Technip bags FEED contract for China’s first two tension leg platforms

Technip and its consortium partner COOEC have been awarded a FEED contract by CNOOC for two tension leg platforms (TLPs) for the Liuhua 11-1 and 16-2 joint development project in the South China Sea. Technip’s operating center in Houston will execute the FEED contract.

Cylindrical floater in consideration for Bream oil field development offshore Norway

Premier Oil has awarded Sevan Marine a FEED contract for the Bream field development in the Norwegian central North Sea. The study concerns the hull and marine systems of a Sevan-type cylindrical FPSO.

Genesis scoops GSPC contract

Technip-owned Genesis has been awarded FEED contract by Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC) for the Deen Dayal gas expansion project off India’s east coast. Genesis offered a very competitive price in June, in a bid against WorleyParsons, JP Kenny, Mustang and domestic player Engineers India (EIL).
